Nothing leaves your phone.
- Nothing is collected. ReturnBye has no server, no account, and no analytics. There is nothing for it to send anywhere.
- Your purchases stay on your device. Every item, amount, and return date is stored locally and is never uploaded, synced, or backed up by the app.
- The camera never leaves your phone either. Receipt scanning runs entirely on-device; no photo or receipt text is transmitted or stored by us.
- Reminders are local. Return-deadline notifications are scheduled by iOS on your device. No push server is involved.

Information we collect
None. ReturnBye does not collect, transmit, or have access to any information about you or your purchases. The app has no backend server, no user accounts, no analytics SDK, and no advertising SDK of any kind. There is no mechanism in the app that sends data anywhere, so there is nothing for this policy to disclose beyond what's described below.

Purchases you add
When you log a purchase, including the item, merchant, price, purchase date, and return deadline, that record is saved directly on your device using Apple's on-device SwiftData storage. It is not synced to iCloud, not sent to any server, and not visible to anyone but you. Deleting a purchase in the app, or deleting the app itself, permanently removes it; we hold no copy anywhere, because none was ever made.

Camera and receipt scanning
ReturnBye asks for camera access so you can photograph a receipt instead of typing it in. That photo is read on-device using Apple's Vision framework to guess the merchant, total, and return window, then it is discarded. The app never uploads the image, and never stores the raw photo after the scan. You review and edit every scanned field before it's saved.

Photo library access
If you choose a receipt photo from your library instead of the camera, ReturnBye uses Apple's system photo picker. This picker runs outside the app entirely. ReturnBye only ever receives the one image you explicitly select, never a listing of your library.

Notifications
Return-deadline reminders are scheduled locally through Apple's notification system, based entirely on dates you've stored on your own device. No notification content is generated by or routed through a server. There is no server in this app's design at all.

Third parties
ReturnBye does not share information with third parties, because it does not collect any to share. The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking libraries.

Children's privacy
ReturnBye is a general-audience utility and is not directed at children. Since the app collects no data from any user, it correspondingly collects none from children.

Your control over your data
Because everything lives only on your device:
- Deleting a purchase inside the app deletes it completely, immediately.
- Deleting the app deletes every purchase, preference, and scheduled reminder with it.
- There is no account to close and no request to send us, since we hold nothing to act on.

Changes to this policy
If ReturnBye's data practices ever change, for example, if a future version adds an optional iCloud sync, this page will be updated first, with a new effective date above, before that feature ships.
